200th Followers Giveaway: MAC Venomous Villains

Helloo dears,

As the title says, this is a special giveaway as a thank you to everyone that's been following me on my blogging journey. As a girl that loves animals as well as the world of beauty products, I am committed to purchasing and sharing about cruelty-free (CF) products.

There is absolutely no reason for animals to be tortured and used in product (and ingredient) testing- first and foremost, the cost of animal suffering can not be justified in the realm of product testing. Testing and experimentation involve very invasive and painful procedures that leave cats, dogs, bunnies, mice, and other animals with chemically-burned eyes, incisions on their bodies that leave open wounds and sores, and even damaged internal organs due to force-feeding of substances.There is something ethically wrong with the way animals are used in the cosmetic and personal care products industries. As many videos and reports of undercover investigations show, these animals are treated as objects and are not properly cared for.

Beyond animal testing issues, I also educate myself on animal welfare in the fashion, meat, pet, and entertainment industries. I blog about these other forms of animal cruelty in my (recently created) sister blog: http://cfcorner.blogspot.com/

While there are several changes I am envisioning for my blog in the near future (one being a more organized section for information on cruelty-free brands and animal testing), I still want to hold a giveaway right now for all of you that have been supporting me <3

The prizees... "Bite of an Apple" blush and "Bad Fairy" nail lacquer... are from my #1 favorite cruelty-free brand MAC Cosmetics!! (Their mother company Estee Lauder is also CF btw.) Yes, I bought an extra of these two products when I pre-ordered my Venomous Villains haul :)

    5. Karen~ congrats on passing the 200 mark! I liked your blog before, but after meeting you and getting to know you better I like your blog even more! It is my trusty go-to source for all things CF. Before I makeup shop I'm always sure to look here first. Thank you so much for all your important posts.. you help to educate the world about the horrible testing they do on animals. To be honest, even though I knew about it before I never really paid attention. I love that you continually post these issues.. it's something that we need to be constantly reminded of and keep at the forefront of our minds. Without these constant reminders, it's so easy to forget and be lulled by the makeup companies ads.

    6. This is a nice giveaway!

      I think I mentioned that my mom was chased by a cow once and she was afraid of cows after that. But I forgot to mention she was afraid of all animals. Despite her fear, she couldn't stand for an animal to suffer. When I was growing up, she always made sure I remembered to feed our pets, give them plenty of water, and that they had safe, warm places to sleep. She asked me how I would feel if I didn't have those basic things. She would like you! =)

      Speaking of animal cruelty, I recently found out that Rimmel use their products on animals. You should do a post about that... hehe~ Now that I know this, I am against buying their products.

      Animal welfare is very important to me, and I've been a vegetarian/vegan since I can remember! I don't want to use any animal products (no leather, no gelatine) and I certainly don't want to buy or support animal testing in any way, especially not cosmetics!
